The typewriter (Original) Matous was made according to the only Czech patent of a typewriter No.79511 from June 22, 1938. It was registered by its designer and later producer Karel Matous from Ceske Budejovice. Here, this machine was produced in the years 1948-1952 in the factory Motorunion. The portable typewriter of a light and simple design was intended for a large-scale production and general public use. Its appearance and construction were based on established and proven principles. Motion was transferred from keys to type levers by means of a rolling mechanism between the key and intermediate levers. A prototype and two serial products are deposited in the National Technical Museum.
