Benz Viktoria
The car Benz Viktoria from the collections of the National
Technical Museum is the oldest factory-made road motor
vehicle driven on the territory of the Czech Republic. The
car was manufactured in the Mannheim factory of Karl Benz in
1893 and its first owner, the textile businessman Theodor
von Liebieg from Liberec, was driving it on the almost one-
thousand-kilometre long journey from Liberec to Gondorf near
Koblenz - the first long-distance journey in the car
history.
Technical specification:
Passenger car with a liquid-cooled four-stroke single-
cylinder engine mounted in the rear part and with rear
driven wheels. Swept volume of engine 1724 cm3, power 4 HP,
maximum speed 20 km/h.
