Danish astronomer who established an observatory on the Hven island with a peak-level instrumentation. After leaving Denmark, he came to Bohemia where he worked from 1599 till his death in 1601. Tycho endeavoured after establishing an observatory in Bohemia as a substitution for lost Uraniborg on Hven. He staid in Benatky nad Jizerou and in Prague where he had his observation posts at Pohorelec and in Belvedere. He is buried in the Tyn church. He is considered as one of the best astronomers ever.
