The science devoted to time measurement according to movement of celestial bodies. Time is measured by means of light from Sun, Moon and stars, consequently the devices are called sun-, moon- and stardials, respectively. The oldest sundials was a column standing on a public place (gnomon - indicator). The collection contains 144 sundials. They are of horizontal, vertical, equatorial and diptych types.
