In the years 1900-1901 were produced by the firm EAS, formerly E. Kolben, Praha and the carriage factory in Koprivnice (NW Koprivnice) two electro-mobiles of technologically very remarkable construction, which however were not preserved. From the approximately ten electric cars, which were built before the end of the 2. World War in our country, not even one was preserved.
For Kolben's electro-mobile exists a sufficient drawing documentation as well as in the archive of Tatra in Koprivnice, as in CKD-Elektrotechnika. One of the original electro-motors is in the collections of the NTM.
The production of a functioning replica of the electro-mobile is possible. It would not only be evidence of the technical capabilities of our ancestors, but it could also serve as an original advertisement as well as for enterprises involved in electric transportation, the manufacturing of electric motors, accumulators etc., as for diverse ecological initiatives.
We estimate the production costs at 2 million Czech crowns.
