In the year 1998 it will be 300 years since the birth of Prokop Divis, the first Czech experimentator with static electricity and the inventor of the lightning rod. The NTM would like to remember this anniversary through a smaller exhibition, where will be documented the state of understanding and of opinions about electricity at that time, which lead to further discoveries, and will be introduced the person of Divis. Because of a lack of original objects directly connected to Prokop Divis the emphasis of the exhibition will be on showing contemporaneous electrostatic instruments from the collections of the museum, completed with a corresponding illustration documentation.
The exhibition is supposed to be realized in the year 1998 with a cost of 0.3 mil. Czech crowns.
