The Library was founded together with the Museum in 1908. In 1950 it was combined with the Industrial Association library and with the library of the Society of Engineers and Architects. The Library collects and preserves the literature of domestic as well as foreign origin. The files cover the fields of technology, certain sciences, and economics. Represented are also technical fields, from the group of sciences mainly astronomy, physics, mathematics and chemistry, from economic field those which, through its orientation, allow to study the economy development. Some technical works related to e.g. architecture and building industry approach in their scope artistic fields that are otherwise not systematically monitored by the Library. An important part of the resource is represented by whole series of technical journals. User can become oriented in the Library by means of catalogues, either on their own or with the staff assistance. At user's disposal are catalogues of names, bibliography and subjects created on the basis of international decimal classification. New information source is also the collection of CD-ROMs. The Library contains some 200,000 books, annual acquisition being about 1000 books.
