Overview
DataArmour is a local, intra and internet backup system. It allows you to backup
anything, to anywhere, automatically (assuming, of course, that you have access to do
so).
DataArmour allows selection of files to be backed up using a rule based system, giving
flexibility yet retaining ease of use. Also included is comprehensive logging, support for
ZIP (or other types of removable drive) drives, compression, adjustable priorities for
both main application and its threads, ability to run from some other scheduler, and
multi-threading.
You can specify what things to backup, as well as what you want to include/exclude very
easily. DatArmour then runs in the background and takes care of everything for you.
DataArmour includes the following features:
- Compatible with Windows 95 and above, Windows NT4.0 and above
- Backup local and LAN directories to a named location. This location can either be local,
on a LAN (using UNC names if you preffer) or an FTP server
- Backup multiple source files, from multiple directories and retain the relevant
directory/path information
- Include and exclude files from the backup operation using powerfull and flexible rules.
- Optionally compress the backup to a ZIP file.
- Configurable compression levels for each ZIP file.
- Ability to schedule the backup opterations
- Preview the effect of a backup, without performing the backup
- Ability to monitor specific directories for changes, and then run the backup (this can
also be delayed)
- Run many backup operations simulateously (this is configurable)
- Run individual items at their own priorities, allowing more important items to complete
first.
- After completing the backup, list (and optionally remove) any files that have been
deleted from the source.
- Works with virtually any FTP server
- Full logging of backup operation
- Encrypt registry settings
- Many backup options
