Imaging the easy way

In this section we define the term imaging as it relates to Eroiica--a tool for electronic document processing.

Imaging defined...
In the broad form, the industry term imaging encompasses the capture and processing of "human-readable" information such as pictures, images, motion, text, etc. in "machine-readable" format--microfilm, computer data, videotape, OCR output, etc.

Eroiica is designed to work with computer data such as raster(BMP, PCX, TIF,...), vector(DWG, DXF, DGN,...), text(DOC, TXT, WPF,...) or a combination of all of them for optimal image processing in high-speed manufacturing, quality control, criminal forensics, medicine, defense, etc.

Eroiica and imaging
Eroiica is intended for users that need to work with various types of raster, vector, text, and hybrid document formats outside of the "often very expensive" host application. The focus is on ease of use, speed, and versatility. Users can view various engineering size types of documents, redline them, add post-it notes, and edit or convert them into other graphic file formats without the need for expensive computer systems.

Eroiica API
Whether you are a programmer, system integrator, or system manager, you will appreciate the ease and speed with which the Eroiica API lets you design an intuitive imaging interface to your electronic documents. Use the Eroiica API when you need to make valuable electronic documents available at the right place and at the right time. You will not be limited by the format of your electronic information or the system that you presently use to store this information. With access to ammunition of:

  • over 200 DDE calls,
  • over 200 C-API functions,
  • OLE 2.0 services,
  • hotspots/hyperlinks,
  • and command line functions,

Eroiica can be integrated into any database, EDMS, PDM or workflow application using the Eroiica API. A complete list of Eroiica API functions is available here.
