How can I fix the transporter?

Take care of the injured crewman in the transporter room first.

When you healed him, he should have pointed out a panel for you.  There's a
device in there (the "transmogrifier") that should be able to fix the
transporter.

Have Spock try to do the repairs.

Hint 4 of 8:

First use Spock on the console and then use the transmogrifier on it.

You'll learn that you need a comb bit to use the transmogrifier.

Hint 6 of 8:

Now use the comb bit on the transmogrifier.  See another question if you
don't know where to find a comb bit.

Try using the combined bit and transmogrifier on the transporter console.

You'll find the long wire you need inside the brig.  It's just underneath
the switch to the door.
