9J. CLUBS & COMPS [PLAY LEAGUE]

If you want to play another member of a league and want the score to be automatically uploaded at the end of the game so that the table is updated you should make a proposal in the following way. If you set the game up via a standard proposal on the NOTICEBOARD the score will not be uploaded. Please remember scores can only be uploaded from fully Wireplay compliant games

To play a league game

  1. On the NOTICEBOARD, click on the 'Clubs & competitions' button.

  2. On the 'Search Set-up' panel, click on the 'Edit Search' button, then on the arrow button next to 'Competition type'.

  3. Click on the 'League' button, then on the 'OK' button.

  4. On the 'Search Set-up' panel, click on the arrow button next to 'Membership'.

  5. Click on the 'Yes' button, then on the 'OK' button.

  6. Click on the 'Do Search' button. Choose a league from the list provided and click on its name.

  7. Click on the 'View table' button to view the league table.

  8. Choose who you want to challenge from the list provided and click on the player's name. Then click on the 'Challenge' button.

  9. Set the time you want to play and click on the 'OK' button.

  10. Wait for the response to your challenge in the normal way.

  11. If you are a member of a league and someone else challenges you you will see the challenge as a game propsal either on the NOTICEBOARD or on the MY DIARY SCREEN. A league proposal is identifiable by the league icon. Enter the locker room in the usual way.

  12. An important note on playing in leagues

  13. If you intend to be an active player in a league it is unlikely that you will be logged on to Wireplay at the same time as your chosen opponent. You will therefore need to take advantage of the facilities that Wireplay has to book games in advance. If you are challenging you can try to book a game a few days ahead to give your opponent time to see it and let you know through locker room messaging whether he can make your suggested time. You should also regularly check the MY DIARY screen to see whether anyone is trying to book a game with you.
