A. Although Wireplay can connect computer games over the network, it is completely separate from the games themselves and does not require them to be installed in a special way. If you need information on installing and running games on your PC, you should consult the user manuals that came with them.
Q. How do I know if my games are compatible with Wireplay?
A. When the full Wireplay service is launched, many of the top games manufacturers will be producing new 'Wireplay-compliant' versions of their software which will allow players to set up and run a variety of competitions, complete with sophisticated scoring systems and league tables. You'll be able to recognise this 'compliant' software from the Wireplay logo on the packaging.
In the meantime, Wireplay will allow you to set up and play any number of one-off 'friendlies', using the current versions of many popular multi-player games. It does this by using the so-called 'null modem' or 'IPX' network modes. Up to date compatibility information is given in Wireplay News.
