Well, we at Interactive Magic, developers and publishers of entertainment software, plan to release 'Daley Thompson's World Class Decathlon', an exciting new game that will bring back the playability of the 80s but with plenty of up-to-date 90's technology and strategy thrown in for good measure. The international sports company, adidas and Queens Moat hotel and leisure chain have both endorsed Daley Thompson's World Class Decathlon. Both were impressed by the game and Daley's heavy involvement with its production. He has been filmed for insertion into the game as a personal on-line coach giving the players advice. He is also working with the development team to assure points accuracy in all the events. In Daley Thompson's World Class Decathlon, the player assumes the role of one of eight world-class decathletes competing for the title of 'Best Athlete in the World'. The game is in real-time and takes the player through all ten individual events in a challenging two-day competition. Daley Thompson's World Class Decathlon also contains a quick-start practice mode so that players can jump into individual events to hone their skills. Players choose the physical attributes of their decathlete, ranging from height to weight, all of which influence their abilities in sprinting, jumping and throwing. The combinations of the various characteristics affect event outcomes, adding a strategic level to the game in regard to player's performance and success.
