File list

Ordering the files according to your needs

Specify the order of the files with the Edit menu. Files can be ordered by:

This is the default. Files are ordered by name like in the Windows Explorer.

Files are ordered by size. Smaller files at the beginning. This is useful for searching for images which are identical except the name. So identical images have the same size and are ordered together.

Files are ordered by time. Older files at the beginning. This is useful when downloading files from the internet. To check if files have properly stored just look at the newest files.

Files are ordered at random. Interesting for Auto Show only.

The file list on the left hand side of the windows can also used to sort the window. Click on the according columns to sort forward. Click again on the same column to sort backwards. The file list always shows all images found in the current directory. This directory is defined by the path from where the last bitmap has been opened.

Hint: Not all columns might be visible when starting JPegger. You can resize the width of the file list with the mouse. To do so click on the right hand side of the file list, keep the button pressed and move the mouse horizontally.
