What is a channel?

A channel is a way to deliver content from the Internet to your computer, similar to subscribing to a Web site. Subscribing enables you to set a schedule to check for and download content from a specific Web site. Channels allow a content provider to specify what to download to your computer, and how often. And the information can appear either in your browser or in a full-screen window.
