Installing and Starting Visual Component Manager

Visual Component Manager is automatically installed during Setup when you first install Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Visual J++, Visual Interdev, or Visual C++. In Visual Basic, however, you must first add it to the toolbar in order to access it.

To add Visual Component Manager to the Visual Basic Toolbar

  1. Click Add-in Manager on the Visual Basic Add-ins menu.

  2. Scroll down and highlight Visual Component Manager on the add-ins list.

  3. Check Load on Startup in the Load Behavior group.

  4. Click Okay to add Visual Component Manager to the Visual Basic toolbar.

To start Visual Component Manager from Visual Basic

  1. Click the Visual Component Manager icon on the Visual Basic toolbar, or

  2. Click Visual Component Manager on the View menu

To start Visual Component Manager from Visual J++ or Visual InterDev

  1. Click the Visual Component Manager icon on the Visual Basic toolbar, or

  2. Click Visual Component Manager on the View menu

To start Visual Component Manager from Visual C++

  1. Click Visual Component Manager from the Tools menu
