Opening an Existing Visual J++ Project

Thanks for using this pre-release version of Visual J++.

To open an existing Visual J++ project or solution

  1. On the File menu, click Open Project.

    The New Project dialog box appears.

  2. Click the Existing tab.

    A list of existing projects appears.

  3. In the Look in drop-down list box, find the root directory that contains your projects.

    A list of projects in each root directory appears.

  4. Click the project you want to open.

  5. Click Open.

    The projectÆs file appears.

  6. Double-click on the project (.vjp) file.

    A collapsed view of your applet project appears in the Project Explorer. By default, the Project Explorer appears in the upper right corner of the Visual J++ development environment.

  7. Expand the project icon by clicking the ô+ö sign to the left of your projectÆs name in the Project Explorer.

  8. To view your appletÆs code, highlight the appletÆs .java file, and click View Code on the context menu.
