Table Auto Format Builder

Use this builder to design the visual appearance of tables by applying color combinations, layouts, borders, and other formatting to an entire table or sections of a table. The Preview area allows you to view how your settings affect a sample table.

Note If you select HTML attributes around the <TABLE> </TABLE> tags, these attributes may be lost when you apply the Table Auto Format Builder changes. Also, this builder may disregard the COLSPAN and ROWSPAN attributes if these attributes have been applied to a table.

If you apply your table formatting choices using only HTML, the following tags are affected:

Note If you choose to apply your formatting choices using styles, the Table Auto Format Builder will overwrite any styles assigned through a .css file with inline styles.

Specifies the type of border, shading, and font design to apply to the table.

Format

Specifies the type of column and row positioning to apply to the table.

Applys the table formatting options using plain HTML.

Applies the table formatting options using inline CSS attributes.

Borders

Specifies whether to apply the border style available with the design chosen in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down lists.

Shading

Specifieswhether to apply the shading style available with the design chosen in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down list.

Font

Specifies whether to apply the font style available with the design chosen in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down list.

Specifies the sections of the table that the Table Auto Format Builder applies the selected format and color scheme options to.

Header

Specifies whether the options selected in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down lists apply to the first row in the table.

Last row

Specifies whether the options selected in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down lists apply to the last row in the table.

First column

Specifies whether the options selected in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down lists apply to the first column in the table.

Last column

Specifies whether the options selected in the Format and Color Scheme drop-down lists apply to the last column in the table.
