Version number
This number increments each time you run the IEAK wizard. It enables you to ensure that only the latest version of each customized component and feature is installed. It prevents a user from installing an earlier version of the customized browser.
Configuration identifier
The configuration identifier is an 8-digit code that identifies your customized version of the browser. Using this code can prevent the user from installing a previous version over a newer version of your customized browser. For the configuration identifier to prevent an earlier version from being installed, the company name for both browsers must be the same. You specified the company name in Stage 1 of the IEAK wizard.
