If you were to build a web site for a small record company, what would you include? Music clips? Concert dates? Information on how to purchase the latest CDs? With BeanMachine, building applets for this web site, or any web site, is easier than you imagine.

In the following section, we'll guide you through building an applet to enrich the web site of Atlanta's Bonfire Records.

You can use any number of tools to create your web site and pages:

web site or page authoring tools like NetObjects Fusion ^TM, Adobe PageMill^TM, and Macromedia Backstage^TM

fully integrated Internet application and server suites such as Lotus Domino^TM

office suites like Lotus SmartSuite^TM

if you prefer the brute force method, just use a simple text editor to code the HTML tags by hand.

In this case, we've provided a sample web page to get you started. However you decide to author your web pages, the applets you create with BeanMachine will snap right in.

In the next section, you are going to build a BeanMachine applet for the Bonfire Records' web page featuring the band 3 Lost Souls.
