Lotus BeanMachine Reference Guide

Adding Other Java Parts

If you have a JavaBean that is already in a JAR file, it's really easy to add it to the BeanMachine palette. We've provided one called BlinkingText for you to practice with.
To add this new bean to the palette, select "Add beans from a .jar file" in the Bean Wizard. Then, find "BlinkingText.jar" in BeanMachine's samples/newbeans folder. When you click Finish, the JAR file will be copied into BeanMachine's "Beans" folder.
When you restart BeanMachine, it will detect that a new JAR has been added and automatically add all the beans it finds in the JAR file to your Palette. You can use the Bean Wizard again to customize these new parts.
