Ejecting tapes

You can eject tapes from SCO ARCserve/Open's Device Manager, if your drives support this feature. You need to be a queue operator to do this.

If you try to eject a tape from a drive that does not support the eject feature, SCO ARCserve/Open will think that the tape has been ejected, even though it is still physically in the drive. You will need to walk over to the drive, eject the tape, then put it back in for SCO ARCserve/Open to see the tape again.

To eject a tape:

  1. Select the tape drive from which you want to eject the tape.

Refer to ``Selecting a tape drive'' for information about selecting a tape drive.

  2. Click the Eject button.

    The following dialog box appears:

The tape is ejected from the tape drive.
