You need queue operator privileges to make a tape to tape copy.
To make a tape to tape copy (duplicate a tape), you will need two drives that use the same type media. Also, the tapes should be the same size and length.
You can only copy to a blank tape. If you insert a tape into the destination drive that hasn't been formatted by SCO ARCserve/Open (and has data on it written by another application), then SCO ARCserve/Open will treat that tape as a blank tape, and any information on that tape will be destroyed.
In the following example, the source drive is part of group1 and the destination drive is part of group2. The source drive contains the tape you want to copy, and the destination drive contains a blank tape.
