You must have logged in as root before starting SCO ARCserve/Open or have typed su to become super user before starting SCO ARCserve/Open.

The Device Group Configuration screen appears.
- Click on the name of the group and the drive that you would like to add to this group.
- Click Assign to make this drive part of the group.
Repeat steps 2 through 4 for all the tape drives that you want to group.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 to assign more drives.
- If you are finished assigning drives, Click Config to exit the Device Group Configuration screen and save the new settings.
Config writes your new tape group configuration to SCO ARCserve/Open's tapesvr.cfg file and causes the Tape Server to re-start.
