Viewing details about a tape
You can choose to view more details for a tape. The details include how many errors SCO ARCserve/Open has encountered while reading from or writing to the tape, how much data (total) has been written to the tape, and number of read and write passes SCO ARCserve/Open has made over the tape.
Audrey is interested in seeing how much data, total, has been written to a particular tape. She also wants to see if SCO ARCserve/Open has had any problems writing to the tape.
To view details for a tape:
- Highlight the tape you want to view.
Click the View Details button.
The View Tape Record dialog box appears:

Use this record to determine if a tape should be retired because of high media errors, or if it has been in use for a long time.
- Click the Sessions button to see a list of sessions on this tape.

- Select a session then click Files to see a list of files that were backed up with this session.
