Remote Clients database

The Remote Clients database contains information about remote UNIX servers and clients that you can back up and restore.

In order for SCO ARCserve/Open to communicate with remote UNIX servers and clients attached to your network, you must install the appropriate Client Agent software on those systems. See the appropriate online SCO ARCserve/Open Client Agent Installation Guide for details about installation.

For each host on which you install the client agent, you must add a record to the Remote Clients database. Information that you must supply includes the remote client's Node Address and Node Name.
