Using the software

There are some basic SCO ARCserve/Open concepts and operations that you will encounter over and over again as you use the program. Rather than repeat these concepts and operations, we are going to present them once in this chapter.

You should learn (or at least be familiar with) the following simple concepts before going on:

using context-sensitive help
selecting files and directories (for backup, restore, and utilities)
using the Quick Access dialog box
using the SCO ARCserve/Open menu
