You can only access remote hosts and clients if you have purchased client licenses and installed the appropriate Agent software.
With one simple click, you can select an entire client for backup, including all hard drives or vol umes on clients. You can also be explicit by selecting specific files as your source.
To select a remote host, perform the following steps:
This will display the current host UNIX host, and remote hosts that have been added to your database.
If you don't see the Remote Host that you want to back up, it must be added to the database. Refer to ``Managing Databases'' for information about adding remote hosts.
From this list, choose the name of the client(s) you want to back up by clicking next to and selecting the name(s).
If you select a remote host that you are not currently logged in to through SCO ARCserve/Open, the following login window appears, prompting you for a login name and password:
If the Remote client considers the Backup Host (the host you are running SCO ARCserve/Open from) its host equivalent, you will not be prompted to log in to the Remote Host. Refer to your operating system's reference manual for more information about host equivalent status.
To back up an entire client, click on the Select All box next to the name of the desired client.
To select parts of a client, click the Expand button next to the client, then click on the Select All box next to the name of the directories and files you want to back up.
