In addition to specifying a source and destination for your backup, you can also tell SCO ARCserve/Open how to handle such things as:
backup verification,
to compare the files on tape to the originals
on disk to make sure they are identical.
general backup tasks,
such as recording a history of the job in the database,
ejecting tapes after the job, and deleting files
from the hard disk after they have been backed up.
To access these backup options, follow the procedure below:
Click the Backup Options button.
The Backup Options window appears. The following pages discuss each backup option.
