Using advanced backup options

Now that you know how to perform a basic backup, you are ready for SCO ARCserve/Open's advanced backup features. These include:

selecting a remote host for backup
specifying node and volume options, to customize each host you back up
specifying other backup options, such as backup verification
specifying destination (tape) options, such as tape spanning
scheduling the job
scheduling custom backups
submitting jobs using the command line
creating scripts for your jobs

The rest of the chapter goes into these options in more detail, and when appropriate shows you how to use these options through examples.

Filtering your backup job is not discussed in this chapter. For information about applying filters, refer to ``Filtering Your Jobs''.
