Auto Pilot tape naming conventions

When Auto Pilot formats a tape to use, it follows a certain set of rules to name the tape. This section describes these rules. Use this information to help you understand what information is on your tape.

Each tape has a name with four sections separated by hyphens. These are:

The first full backup of an Auto Pilot set is always a full backup, therefore prefixed with an ``F'', even if the backup method chosen is Incremental or Differential.
