Always check the Auto Pilot Daily log (through the Report Manager). The Daily Log gives you important information such as what tape to use for the next Auto Pilot Job and what systems were backed up in the previous job. The Auto Pilot Daily log lists:

• any missed targets

• the status and schedule of any make-up job

• any errors that occurred during the job
  

Auto Pilot always looks in the Tape Database for information about tape recycling, and will always draw from the oldest tape in the database. If you're confused as to which tape Auto Pilot is looking for, check the tape database for the reason.
