Accessing the Changer Device Management options

Because you have installed SCO ARCserve/Open's Changer Option, there are some new options available. All of these Changer Device Management options are described in this chapter. But first you need to know how to get to these options.

Depending on the type of changer you are using, accessing the Changer Device Management options will vary. SCO ARCserve/Open makes the distinction between those changers with separate SCSI IDs for both the changer and any tape drives in it, and those changers that share a SCSI ID with the tape drive.

Because of this distinction, Changer Device Management options are accessed in two ways:

if your changer and the tape drives in it have their own distinct SCSI IDs, then these options can be accessed from the standard Device Management window
if your changer shares its SCSI ID with the tape drive, an arrow is available next to the changer for you to toggle between standard device management options and changer options.
