Gif·gIf·giF by Pedagoguery Software Gif·gIf·giF is a small program for creating useful animations that can be put on the internet or an intranet. It was produced for demonstrating computer software - in action - on the world wide web. But it is also useful for tutorials, training demonstrations, reporting, documentation, and just plain fun animations. Gif·gIf·giF works like a simple video recorder. It is automated and easy to use. Just press the start button, and whatever appears or happens on your monitor is recorded. After the presentation, simply press the stop button and save the file as a GIF animation. The animation can then be played back with both of the popular web browsers - no need for plug-ins. While Gif·gIf·giF is simple and easy to use, it is also flexible and provides outstanding compression. Both the frame rate and the capture area can be precisely selected by the user. The example animation shown on the right was recorded at 3 frames per second, contains 154 frames, and lasts 57 seconds. It took a couple of minutes to make using Gif·gIf·giF and compressed to less than 38K. Features: • Variable frame rates, from 5 sec/frame to 40 frames/sec • Variable recording size; either 100%, 44% or 25% of actual size • Continuous recording, individual screenshots, or a combination of the two • Accurately set the capture area to any window with a single click • Automatically outlines the animation with a thin black border (optional) • Animations play while downloading and can either loop forever or play just once Click here to download a copy of Gif·gIf·giF by Pedagoguery Software (Download: 558K; Shareware Cost: $28.00) Best experienced with Click here to start.
