1  WELCOME !
You are probably wondering "What the heck is BillSaver?" Well, this
program does exactly what its title suggests: it SAVES you from those
huge TELEPHONE BILLS you get every month after spending hours and
hours surfing the Net, downloading programs and games and chatting to
friends on IRC.

Let's face it, Internet can be a very addictive thing and if suddenly
you start to lose control of your online time, things can go Very wrong
at the end of the month ;-}

That's where BillSaver comes in. At the beginning of each month you will
specify a limit on how much you can afford to spend on a telephone bill,
and BillSaver will try to balance your on-line time so that it will be
below the limit you have set. This means there will be no more "Hey, I
didn't spend THAT much" moments when you receive your telephone bill.

To go even further, with a single mouse click you can access a
complete log of all calls you have made during the current month, as
well as a report containing the total amount of time you have spent
on-line, how much you will have to pay for it and the ESTIMATED size of
the phone bill you are likely to receive at the end of the month if you
keep spending more or less the same amount of time on-line every day.
You will be given textual warnings every time you stay on-line for a
longer time than you can afford.

2  BILLSAVER IS SHAREWARE
This program is distributed as Shareware. This means that you may
freely distribute it anywhere you want! You may copy this program to 
your friend, upload to software archives on Internet, to bulletin 
boards, or whatever. . .

You may NOT, however, charge any money for this program. Thus you may
NOT include this file on shareware CD-ROMs, magazine cover discs, etc.
without asking my permission first.

You have 30 days to evaluate and test BillSaver to see whether it suits
your needs. By the end of that period you will either have to register
this program for a small fee, if you like it, or remove it from your 
system. It's something like test-driving a car before you buy it: At the
end you will either have to pay for it or return it.

VIOLATION OF SHAREWARE CONCEPT IN ANY WAY IS AGAINST THE LAW !!!


3  PROGRAM INSTALLATION
NOTE: No installation routine is provided with this version of BillSaver,
to keep the size of the distribution file down. Anyway, installation is
so straightforward that you don't even need it. Just unzip the contents
of the ZIP file into a fresh folder and start the program. You will be
presented with a first-use configuration screen and a help file containing
detailed information about program's features and interface. It is Highly
recommended that you read at least some part of the help file before you
start using BillSaver.

6  REGISTRATION
No, BillSaver will not COST you a fortune. In fact it will SAVE you a
fortune if you register it. The full version of BillSaver will only cost
you $15 (fifteen US dollars) or £10 (10 British pounds), whatever you
prefer.

detailed information on benefits you receive when you register this
program, as well as how to register. Please e-mail me if you have any
further question concerning the registration.

REMEMBER: If you don't register BillSaver, you will have to remove it
from your system within 30 days.
