This can occur if password caching is disabled on your machine.
NOTE:Disabling password caching is something that may be done in a corporate network situation and usually does not apply to a home user unless you have manually edited the registry.

This can occur if your Windows Password List File (Username.pwl) is corrupt.
-OR-
This can occur in Windows 95 if you do not have Dial-Up Networking version 1.2 and the Windows 95 Winsock upgrade 1.2
NOTE: Windows NT 4.0 SR1 and Windows 98 ship with Dial-Up Networking version 1.2. For instructions on how to install Dial-Up Networking on these operating systems, refer to Windows Help.
If you suspect that your Password List File may be corrupt, you can rename the Username.pwl file. See the More Information section below for step by step instructions on how to accomplish this.
Money 99 ships with the Windows 95 Winsock upgrade and Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking version 1.2 for Windows 95 on the CD-ROM. To install Dial-Up Networking, run the wsockupd.exe program and then the msdun12.exe program. For step by step instructions, see the More Information section below.

To rename your Windows Password List File, follow these steps:
1. On the Start menu, point to Find and click Files Or Folders.
2. In the Named box, type *.pwl.
3. Make sure the Look In box indicates the drive where Windows is installed and click OK.
4. Rename the Username.pwl, where Username is the name you use to log on. You can rename the file by right-clicking it, and selecting Rename from the shortcut menu.
5. After you rename the file, close the Find dialog box and restart Windows.
NOTE: If you rename your password file, Windows will not remember your password. You will need to manually re-enter all passwords.

To install Dial-Up Networking, follow these steps:
NOTE: The version of Dial-Up Networking included on the Money 99 CD-ROM is not intended for computers running Microsoft Windows 98.
WARNING: Certain applications modify or replace Winsock or the TCP/IP stack. In such cases, the installation of a new Winsock and the installation of the Dial-Up Networking 1.2 Upgrade could cause such applications to stop working. If you have applications of this sort, you may want to discontinue this upgrade. If you choose to perform the upgrade, and certain applications stop working, you will have to reload these applications.

NOTE: You will need the Windows 95 CD to complete the installation.
2. On the Money 99 CD-ROM, double-click wsockupd.exe from the MONEY99\MTS folder.
3. When asked if you want to continue updating the Windows 95 Socket API, click Yes to complete the installation.
4. On the Money 99 CD-ROM, double-click msdun12.exe from the MONEY99\MTS folder.
5. Follow the Setup instructions to complete the installation.
6. Setup will ask you to restart the machine twice and may ask you for your original Windows 95 CD-ROM or disks. If asked, simply replace the Money 99 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive, if necessary, and continue.
7. If Setup notifies you of a version conflict, it will ask you if you want to keep the newer file. Click Yes.
