You will need to do one of the following things, but not both:
- In the Bills place, cancel the Apay (An electronic payment that you set up with your financial institution where funds are automatically withdrawn from your account and a payment sent to the payee, whether or not you connect to your financial institution. The payment is recorded in your Account Register the first time you connect within 30 days of the due date. Same as automatic payment.) for any bills you pay from this account. See Permanently cancel an Apay.
- Or, in the Debt Reduction Plan, make sure the debt payment is not scheduled by following these steps:
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Planner.
2 At the top of the left pane, click the down-arrow
, and then click
Debt Reduction Planner.
3 In the upper-right of the screen, click Next until you see the Take Action & Reduce Your Debt screen.
4 Uncheck the debt payment.
How does the Debt Reduction Planner factor in interest on my debt?
When you enter a debt in your debt plan, interest starts accruing immediately, so the minimum payment reflects the interest that will accrue until the payment date. If you have not entered an interest payment because you do not owe any interest during the first month of using the debt plan, the plan will automatically adjust your total balance on that debt.
