Organize accounts in my budget

1 Go to the Budget Planner.

1 On the navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click Planner.

2 Click Budget Planner.

3 In the left pane, click Getting Started.

2 Click Group your accounts.

3 Review the list of your accounts to make sure that each is assigned the appropriate purpose:

Day-to-day accounts for daily expenses
Long-term savings & investments for financing long-term goals
Occasional Expense Fund for one-time and unexpected expenses
Loans & debt for credit cards, mortgages, and other loans
Exclude from budget for accounts you don't want in your budget

Can I reorder this list?

Yes. On the view bar (The horizontal bar at the top of the table that lets you choose what is displayed in the list. Click the triangle to see the available options.) click the down-arrow , and then choose the list view you want: alphabetical by account name or organized by purpose.

I have too many credit cards and don't want them all in my budget. What now?

Follow the steps above to assign Exclude from budget to any credit card accounts that you don't plan to use in the future and don't want in your budget.
