Enter self-employment income

1 Go to the Career place for you or your partner in Lifetime Planner.

1 On the navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click Planner.

2 Click Lifetime Planner.

3 In the left pane, click Income.

4 Click either <Your> Career or <Your PartnerÆs> Career.

2 If youÆve used the Paycheck wizard to enter your gross pay in Money, click link to your paychecks.

How?

1 Click link to your paychecks.

2 Check the paycheck(s) from your career.

3 Click Calculate my salary by adding the paychecks selected below.

If you know your regular amount of pay and bonuses, click quick calculation.

If you know your annual salary, type it in Annual gross salary.

3 Check the I am self-employed box.

There are three ways to enter my annual salary. Which is the best way?

It's best to enter information about your paycheck by using the Paycheck wizard, and then clicking link to your paycheck. This way, as you update information about your paycheck, information in your lifetime plan is updated automatically. For more information, see Schedule your paycheck deposit.

What if IÆm not paid regularly or not paid a consistent amount?

If you donÆt know exactly how much you'll earn, it's OK to estimate. You can always adjust the amount later.

Follow the same instructions as above. If you choose to enter your gross paycheck and itemize it, click link to your paychecks and then check the paycheck(s) for each of your jobs.
