Add an income category to my budget

1 Go to the Income place (in Budget Planner).

1 On the navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click Planner.

2 Click Budget Planner.

2 Click Add Category.

3 Under Category & Subcategory, choose an income category from the category drop-down list on the left. (Income categories follow Expense categories in the list.)

4 If applicable, choose a subcategory from the subcategory drop-down list on the right.

Are there any income categories that I shouldn't include?

If you don't live off your investment savings, it's best not to include investment gains as income. Instead, reinvest any income you get from your investment accounts.
