Require a category in each transaction

If you're a detail-oriented person, you might want to require a category for each transaction so that you can account for everything you enter in Money. This feature is on by default. To turn it on or off, follow the instructions below.

1 On the Tools menu, click Options.

2 Click the Categories tab.

3 In the Using Categories section, check Require a category for each transaction to enable this option, or uncheck it to disable the option.
