Enter a tax-deferred annuity
If your annuity is a variable annuity:
1 Go to the Savings & Investments Accounts place.
How?
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Planner.
2 Click Lifetime Planner.
3 In the left pane, click Savings & Investments.
4 In the left pane, click Accounts.
2 Click Add Account.
3 Follow the instructions on the screen, and then click Next.
4 Choose Retirement.
5 Follow the instructions on the screen.
If your annuity is a fixed annuity:
1 Go to the Other Income place (in Lifetime Planner).
How?
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Planner.
2 Click Lifetime Planner.
3 In the left pane, click Income.
4 Click Other Income.
2 Click New Income.
3 In the list, click Pension Benefits.
What if I make regular payments to the annuity?
Enter these payments as contributions in your plan. See Enter a new contribution.
Should I create separate accounts for each investment?
You can create one account in Money for the whole annuity, or you can create separate Money accounts for each of the specific investments/mutual funds the insurance company holds in your name.
