DRAWING LINES
Methods :-
1/ press enter on the first point, press the arrow key in the direction to go, screen wise ,
and type in the distance, then press enter (or click the dialogue box OK button) to clear
the box away. If you wish to continue from the new endpoint, just press the arrow key and
continue drawing horizontal & vertical lines.
NOTE
You only need to press enter to mark the start point if the start point is NOT the
same as the last endpoint to start a fresh series of lines re select tool/line.
2/ you can also draw lines by locating the starting point, then holding the left mouse button
down, and dragging to the endpoint, the line will appear to be dotted until you release the
left button, it will then change according to your previously selected line style & width.
3/ lines can also be drawn by pressing enter on the starting point then moving the cursor
to the endpoint and press enter again.
HINT
Use arrow keys to fine tune the position of the cursor, an easy way to get on the
exact endpoint of the line..
NOTE
Angle input increases clockwise from top ( 0 degrees) of screen, 45 degrees is
towards top right hand corner, 225 degrees is towards bottom left corner of your screen, etc.,
MULTI LINES
Select the number of lines required and clear the input box. If the first line will be
horizontal or vertical, press enter on the first point then use the arrow key for the direction of
the second point and input the length of the line, but for angled lines, enter the first point and
move the cursor to the other end point of the first line and press enter.
Now move the cursor to the position of the last line required (at approximately the same
level, horizontally or vertically - depending on the direction you want the rest of the lines to
go, as the first point of the first line), and press enter.
NOTE
The array of lines will only be drawn in a horizontal or a vertical direction from the
first line.(depending on the position you select for the last line.
LINE + TEXT
After drawing the line a dialogue box will appear for the text - you have a
maximum of 20 letters, numbers & spaces - text will be place above or below the line,
depending on your selection in the dialogue box
text size used is the internal dimension text size - use customise/dimensions if you need
to change the size
