AlbumShelf
is used to hold your albums, you cannot put your images directly into an AlbumShelf. An AlbumShelf can hold unlimited number of Albums.
Create New AlbumShelf
To get a new AlbumShelf, you can select New Shelf in the File menu, or press Ctrl+H, then a Shelf icon
will appear in the Album Management area. The default Shelf name is "Shelf", you can click the shelf name to change it.
Operations with AlbumShelf
- Click: Select the Shelf and show all the albums in current Shelf in the Thumbnail Window.
- Double-Click: Open/Close the Album icon list below the Shelf icon.
- Right-Click: Pop up a menu with the following items:
- New Album ---- Create a new Album, the Default album name is: Album.
- Import ---- Import images into the selected Album.
- Open ---- Open Shelf and list the icons of all the Albums in this Shelf below the shelf icon.
- Close ---- Close the Shelf and hide all the Album icons below the shelf icon.
- Find ---- Find images in the selected Album, see Find Images.
- Delete ---- Move the selected Shelf, including all the albums inside, to Recycle Bin.
- Rename ---- Change the name of the shelf.
- Export to CD ---- Save a backup of this Shelf to a CD. It requires a CD-RW. See also CD Burn.
- Properties ---- Show the Shelf Properties dialog.
AlbumShelf Properties
There are three ways to call AlbumShelf Properties dialog box: you can select an AlbumShelf and then click Properties in the File menu, you can Right-Click an AlbumShelf and then select Properties in the pop-up menu, or you can select an AlbumShelf and click
on the PhotoFamily Toolbar. The AlbumShelf Properties dialog is shown below:

There are 6 items in this dialogue box:
- Name ---- The name of the shelf. Default name is Shelf.
- Albums ---- The number of the albums in this shelf.
- Images ---- The total number of images in this shelf.
- Size ---- Total size of all images in this shelf.
- Date ---- Creation date.
- Note ---- User's description of this Shelf. You can add some personal information concerning this AlbumShelf into Note.
