If you make Opera your default browser, your operating system will start Opera when you want to surf the Internet. When Opera is already running, it can handle all file types and protocols listed, even if they are not checked.
Opera can also be used for viewing images.
To use Opera for viewing Web pages, select the following file types and protocols:
