Finding the Tools You Need

The tools in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit are listed in two different ways: by alphabetical order and by functional category.

Finding Tools by Name

If you know the full name or executable file name of the tool you are looking for, you can look it up in the Alphabetical List. To open this list, click "Alphabetical List of Tools" on the Contents tab, or click the A-Z List button on the button bar. Hold the cursor over the name of a tool for a brief description.

You can also search for the name of the tool on the Index tab.

Finding Tools by Category

If you are looking for a particular type of tool, double-click one of the categories of tools on the Contents tab.
