IFilter Test Suite

Server-only: This tool is included in the Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit only.

IFilter Test Suite validates IFilter implementations by calling IFilter methods and checking the returned values for compliance with the IFilter specification. Some of the things the test looks for are that:

• Chunk IDs are unique and increasing.
• The IFilter behaves consistently after re-initialization.
• IFilter method calls with incorrect parameters return expected error codes.

The test consists of a single application, Ifilttst.exe, and an initialization file, Ifilttst.ini. The Ifilttst.exe file is a command-line application.

System Requirements

To run the IFilter Test Suite on your computer, you must have the following installed and running:

• Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server or Advanced Server
• Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0
• Microsoft Indexing Service
