This command-line tool maps a GUID to a distinguished name. In Microsoft® Windows® 2000, each security principal (user, group, or computer) is identified by a unique security identifier (SID) in the form of a GUID. In Active Directory directory service, each object has a distinguished name. This tool enables you to associate the two.
By default, GUID2Obj queries the Global Catalog, but you can tell it to use a domain controller on your site or even a given server.
