Tokens are used to shorten and speed up the execution of program files. For example, the @ symbol can be used in place of the domain name. Improper use of tokens generally creates syntax errors in the database file. When a text line is commented out, any tokens it contains must be enclosed in quotation marks, or DNS will attempt to use them.
