Both the adapter and another device are using the address specified. Each device should have a unique address.
To correct this problem: 1) Contact the person with administrative rights on your computer. 2) Check the configuration of the network adapter using Network and Dial-up Connections in Control Panel. 3) Make sure the network adapter is configured according to the manufacturer's specifications and that the configuration does not conflict with the configurations of other hardware.
